Every property now keeps its Instagram and Facebook posting history

2026/10/17

When it last went out on each network and the link to the actual post, right on the property. And if your Meta connection needs attention, we tell you before you are left unable to post.

You post a property to Instagram from Mapaprop, it goes out fine, and a week later you no longer know whether that property went out at all. To find out you have to open Instagram, scroll down the feed and look for it. Or post it again and risk duplicating it.

We had been bringing the social networks into the same place where you load the property: posting to Instagram and to your Facebook Page already takes one click from the property itself. What was missing was a record of it.

If you have not connected your Meta account yet, the video above walks the whole path: connecting Instagram and your Facebook Page, and posting a property. It was recorded before this improvement, so the history does not show up there yet — that is what we cover below.

Every property keeps its own posts

The property's publishing panel has a new line — Social media posting — showing the latest post on each network and its date. One click takes you to the actual post, on Instagram or on Facebook.

It records itself. There is nothing to tick and nothing to remember: every time you post from Mapaprop, the post is written onto the property at the very moment it goes out.

Why it says "Latest post"

On a portal, a property either is published or it is not: that is a state, and we can read it. On social media a post is a different thing — it is an event with a date: it went out on a given day, with a given caption, and it stays in the feed. You can have five posts for the same property, and you can delete one from the Instagram app without anyone telling us.

That is why the property shows you the latest post with its date rather than a "published on Instagram" badge. We tell you what actually happened. If you later deleted that post from the app, the link may lead nowhere — we would rather say that than assert a state that is not in our hands.

We warn you before you are left unable to post

There were two ways to end up unable to post without noticing, and both were invisible until someone tried:

  • Your Meta permission expired. Nothing goes out, on either network. This is the common one: Meta puts an expiry date on the permission you grant us, and when it lapses everything goes quiet.
  • The account was connected without your Facebook Page. Instagram posts fine and Facebook posts nothing, so half the work gets done and nobody notices.

Both now show up on the main panel and under Settings > Connected accounts, with the reconnect button in the same place as the warning. And when a post fails because the permission expired, the message says so in plain words and offers to reconnect, instead of showing you a technical error.

Which plan includes it

Posting to Instagram and to Facebook Pages is available from Plus, with your Meta account connected. The history and the warnings are included: there is nothing to enable or configure.
